Birthday P"ART"ies!
COST: $250.00 (up to 9 guests plus the Birthday Boy or Girl). Additional guests above the 10 are $15.00 per person.
GAMES: We usually begin with a party game we call "The Jackson Pollock Pokey ". Based on the popular "Hokey Pokey", each child has a canvas board on the floor in the middle of a circle of guests. Each artist holds a different color of paint in a container with a brush. To begin, we start to sing, "You put your right brush in, you take your right brush out, you put your right brush in and you shake it all about. You do the Pollock Pokey and you turn yourself around...that's what it's all about!" Everyone passes their paint to the person on their right and the game continues. When everyon e has used each color, they have created an "Action Jackson"-esque painting to take home.
POSSIBLE PROJECTS: Depending on the interests and age level of the birthday boy or girl, art-a-site! designs one or two more art activities. Just a few of the projects others have selected include: a clay project, acrylic painting on canvas, hand-painted scarves, jewelry, collaged 3-dimenstional initials, watercolor, painted shoes and plaster bird sculptures.
The BIRTHDAY CAKES are decorated by the guests. The guests use white frosting, food coloring to mix a variety of colors and then "Paint" the "Baked Canvas" and reproduce a famous work of art! and This is always a highlight of our parties!
WE PROVIDE: one or two teachers, the party room, helium balloons, all art supplies and materials, birthday cakes and candles, paper plates, napkins, utensils, sample invitations,
